Bahia Judiciary Backs Big Strike, Y’all—24 Hours of Standin’ Strong!

Alright, folks, listen up with that Bahian vibe! The Judiciary folks here in Bahia are throwin’ their support behind a big national strike, you hear? They’re all in for a 24-hour stoppage happenin’ this Thursday, March 20th. The word came straight from an assembly put together by the Sindjufe-BA, that’s the union for the Judiciary workers ‘round here. They decided this ‘cause they’re fed up with how things are goin’—sayin’ there’s been no progress on their career plan talks for a whole year now, can you believe it?

So, they’re plannin’ a big get-together at 11 a.m. in front of the TRT5, that’s the Regional Labor Court down on Avenida Miguel Calmon, right there in the Comércio neighborhood of Salvador. More than 100 workers showed up to the meetin’ and not a single one said “no” to this plan—everybody’s on board, oxente! They’re shoutin’ out that they’ve lost 72% of their pay value over the last 10 years, and 40% just in the last four. That’s a lotta reais gone missin’, right?

The union’s sayin’ this stoppage ain’t just noise—it’s to make things better for everybody who needs the courts. They’re tellin’ folks not to fall for that old talk of “no money” or badmouthin’ the workers. It’s all about pushin’ for a Judiciary that’s fairer and works better, you know? So, if you’re ‘round Salvador this Thursday, don’t be surprised if you see the crew standin’ up loud and proud, fightin’ for what’s right, Bahian style!
